The victim rolled off and suffered serious injuries in the Jan. 8 incident in East Village; a reward up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case
Authorities are trying to identify a pair accused of crashing a sports car into a parked Kia in East Village, then ramming into the Kia's owner and driving for several blocks as he clung to the hood. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in connection with the incident, which happened shortly before midnight Jan. 8 on J Street near 11th Avenue, San Diego police and Crime Stoppers said in a news release.
But the man who had been driving the Corvette scrambled back to his car, climbed into the passenger seat and told the woman to 'run over' the Kia owner, according to authorities. Police said the woman intentionally rammed the Kia owner, who ended up on the hood of the Corvette. She drove several blocks until the victim fell off. The Corvette continued off at a high rate of speed. The victim suffered serious injuries.
