Researchers have developed a microneedle vaccine patch that not only helps those with needle phobias, but also provides stronger protection than the traditional vaccine shot. | zakiyahebrahim Health24com

A microneedle vaccine patch developed by researchers from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Stanford University offers new hope in the field of vaccination.

Not only has it shown to have a more robust immune response than traditional vaccine shots, but it can"painlessly puncture" the surface layer of the skin, thereby eliminating the anxiety associated with needles in conventional vaccines. The team used an advanced 3D printing technique called continuous liquid interface production . This method incorporates ultraviolet light and a special resin and ensures that they are consistent in size, shape, and needle spacing.
