Liverpool's Pier Head will host a day of celebrations on Monday when Cunard 's newest ship arrives in the city.
When will Queen Anne depart Liverpool? Queen Anne is expected to depart on the evening of Monday, June 3 at 10.15pm. What time will the naming ceremony take place and how long will it be? The Official Naming of Queen Anne is planned to start at 4pm on Monday, June 3 and will be approximately one hour long finishing at 5pm, at which time there will be an element of street animation to entertain the crowds.
For the evening celebrations with Craig Charles, the whole of the Pier Head will be open for all to enjoy. Is there an accessible viewing platform? There will not be an accessible viewing platform for the naming ceremony which takes place between 4pm to 5pm. However, for the evening entertainment from 8.30pm, there is an accessible viewing area for those who should need it. Please note, there is limited space in this area and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Will there be official merchandise on sale? Yes, tourist information will be on-site with a range of official Queen Anne Naming Ceremony merchandise from 10am until finish. Will there be any road closures in operation? Yes. To enable the events to take place safely it will be necessary to implement the following road closures which will be supported by LCC Traffic management and traffic management stewards.
