Tim Spector, the King's College London professor has said it's easier than you might think.
Pondering what the best things you can do to improve your gut health, the King's College London professor said people need to make sure they eat plants.
The health expert explained: "It’s not as difficult as it sounds when you realise this includes nuts, seeds, grains, herbs, and spices as well as the more obvious fruit and veg." He added: "Conducting this research has totally changed the way I approach my diet and in turn, my health, and I’m always incredibly proud when I hear it’s done the same for someone else.
