Quick easy, and actually somewhat good for you too
On Tuesday, Brits will be flipping and frying countless batches of pancakes because it's Shrove Tuesday and that means it's acceptable to eat them for breakfast, lunch and tea.
By using one key ingredient from Aldi that costs just over £1, you can whip yourself up a stack of fluffy protein pancakes without the faff. I'd seen one too many versions of this recipe on my TikTok feed and decided enough is enough, I would make them myself.The recipe can be heavily adapted to how you want but to keep things simple, I opted for the three ingredient version - with one must-have item from Aldi's crazed protein range.
- Mix this in well to avoid and clumps of flour being missed out - they will be cooked in with the pancake and will sometimes remain in the pancake at the end if not mixed in properly.- Once the batter is ready, heat up a large frying pan gently- if it's too hot the outer layers of the pancakes will cook quicker than the centre leaving you with a questionable stodgy mess.
