The best weather on Memorial Day weekend in New Jersey is expected Sunday and Monday with sunny skies and highs in the 80s.
with severe storms possible on Friday that that pack gusty winds and flash flooding ahead of more rain on Saturday, forecasters say.
The weather service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for 14 counties for Friday, saying “several instances of flooding are possible, especially in urban and poor-drainage areas and near particularly vulnerable small creeks and streams” The outlook added that scattered severe thunderstorms are possible on Friday.
Ahead of Friday’s thunderstorms, chances of drizzle and scattered showers continue into Thursday evening. Forecasters also mention a chance of patchy fog, especially north and west of Interstate 95 as overnight temps dip into the low 60s.
