A Ukrainian great\u002Dgrandfather from Thunder Bay is going to use some of his $800,000 lottery win to help those deployed to fight in the war in Ukraine.

“I felt frozen as I watched the wheel spin and was tingling when I saw it land on $800,000. It must have been my wallet excited for the money.”“I’ve never seen a cheque made out to me for $800,000 in my life. That’s a lot of money,” he told the OLG. Bordun will do some home renovations, share the win with family and friends and support his Ukrainian heritage.
“I would like to support the Ukrainians who have been deployed by the war. I will take some time to figure out the best way to do that,” he told OLG.Share this article in your social network
