THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay's first-ever Accessible Sports Expo is set to go ahead Monday, Sept. 19. The free event aims to connect people living with disabilities with accessible local sports opportunities.

The Expo will feature a keynote presentation by Jeff Adams, a three-time Paralympic champion and six-time world champion in wheelchair track racing. Information will be shared about Para Nordic skiing, wheelchair curling, sledge hockey, seated volleyball, Special Olympics Thunder Bay and more, the City of Thunder Bay stated in a release.

The city is hosting the event along with PRO Kids, in partnership with the George Jeffrey Children’s Centre and Foundation.“We are thrilled to be a partner for this event,” said the foundation's executive director, Cindy Levanto.
