The 15-year-old victim had just arrived at a north Burnaby house party on Oct. 23, 2021, when he was swarmed by the three youth suspects, who were unknown to him.“We want the public, and specifically youth, to know that we take these swarming assaults seriously,” said Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Alexa Hodgins in a statement.
“Our officers worked tirelessly to identify and bring the offenders to justice. These types of attacks are not acceptable in our community.”Earlier in July, two of the three youths were sentenced for charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. The third has entered a guilty plea and is awaiting sentencing.
