Our decisions determine the course of our lives - here’s how to get them right
an adaptation of David Nicholls’ 2009 bestseller that charts the captivating lives of Emma and Dex. Returning to a single day – 15 July – every year for two decades, the series exploresthat reflect their changing relationship. It made me think about all those moments in our own lives when one decision, one action, one word or one event can completely and utterly alter everything afterwards..
It makes no sense, but actually the emotional safety of the familiar, even if it is miserable, can seem more attractive when we are scared than stepping into something we have always wanted but is uncertain. When we have too many decisions or don’t know how to make choices that are right for us,and just don’t make any decisions at all. We let life happen to us, or we let other people’s agendas take over and we remain passive.
