Three people from Durham Region are facing charges after police busted a large-scale drug smuggling ring, operating across Ontario.
Over the course of the year-long investigation, Durham police and OPP worked alongside officers from York, Toronto, London and the Kawartha Lakes. The drug trafficking network was first uncovered in York Region, but it didn’t take long for officers to trace this group to other parts of the province.Around $1.7-million in drugs has been seized.Crack and opiates were also seized, along with cash, guns and stolen vehicles.Among the suspects are Tagried Mohamed, 27, of Whitby, Saher Mohamed, 32, and Adel Tago, 34, both of Oshawa.Ctrl+Enter
