Toronto police say two men and a woman are facing numerous human trafficking charges after a 17-year-old girl was allegedly drugged, sexually assaulted and forced into the sex trade.
that on Dec. 30, two men met with the girl in downtown Toronto and befriended her, providing her with drugs and alcohol.
They say the girl was then taken to the Hamilton area, where she was allegedly forced to take drugs, deprived of food and sleep and repeatedly sexually assaulted. Police say the girl was also forced to work in the sex trade, and photos of her in various stages of undress were posted online to advertise her sexual services.They say the girl returned to the Toronto area with one of the male suspects on Jan. 2, and she was able to escape and contact police a day later.
Two men face charges that include sexual assault, making child pornography and trafficking in persons under 18 years. A woman faces charges that include trafficking in persons under 18 years and publishing child pornography.
