999 crews were called to Strathaven Road in East Kilbride around 8.20pm yesterday after a car and motorbike collided. An eyewitness said there were"dozens of emergency crews" on the scene and the car was"wrecked and on its roof". The motorbike was also"damaged". Police confirmed that the motorbike rider was hospitalised with serious injuries while the driver and passenger of the car were also assessed by medical staff in hospital.spokesperson said: “Around 8.20pm on Thursday, May 9, 2024, police were called to the A726 Strathaven Road in East Kilbride, following a road crash involving a car and a motorbike.
“The male driver of the motorbike was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.
