Covid isn't over yet in our county.

There is an end "in sight" to the pandemic, but transmission continues to be "robust".

According to the latest update, a total of 19,667 have died in the West Midlands within 28 days of a positive test. The Shropshire data comes not long after the WHO said the end of the Covid-19 pandemic is “in sight”. “We have never been in a better position to end the pandemic – we are not there yet, but the end is in sight.

The director general continued telling the press conference earlier this month: “We can end this pandemic together, but only if all countries, manufacturers, communities and individuals step up and seize this opportunity.”
