Florence Barron, Jeff Collingwood and Libby Dyer are being inducted as athletes, while Robert Dollard is entering as a builder
Three athletes and one builder will be inducted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Hall of Fame on Dec. 2, 2022.ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Three athletes, as well as the founder of the Stephenville Athletics Club, will be formally inducted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Hall of Fame on Dec. 2Inductions to the hall started in 2004 and then went annually until 2014, after which the ceremony was held biannually.
The hall of fame started by inducting six members each year, except for 2008, when 23 people were recognized. Since 2012, the hall called for four people to be presented each year, one in the builder category and three in the athletic category. However, the 2020 ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was instead held in October 2021.This year's induction ceremony will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion building in Pleasantville.
