Update: Denver police are investigating threats at several high schools on Friday morning, but officials believe the threats are false.
The threats against Denver East High School, Northfield High School, Denver South High School and Denver Center for 21st Century Learning, are the second wave of false threats against schools in Colorado this week.around the state received coordinated, and unfounded, “swatting” threats, with a caller claiming to be an active shooter on campus as gunfire was heard in the background of the call.
Jay Casillas, a spokesperson for the Denver Police Department, wrote in an email that police would continue to investigate the unfounded threats made Friday until they find out who is responsible.
