Dozens of Orange parades planned for next three months in Glasgow
Thousands of people are due to take part in Orange and Loyalist parades in Glasgow in the coming months.The marches range from just a few dozen people in local events to thousands parading through the city centre, with many more supporters following alongside.
The County Grand Orange Lodge of Glasgow is the organiser on Saturday, July 1, going through the city centre, along St Vincent Street, up Hope Street before turning back along West George Street, George Street, High Street and Saltmarket to go into the Green. On Saturday, May 6, the Loyal Orange Institute of Scotland Govan District 42 will parade from Brand Street, Kinning Park via Broomloan Road and Govan Road and back with 250 participants.
Another 400 are planned to take part in a County Grand Orange Lodge of Glasgow parade from Kennedy Street, Townhead via George Square to Glasgow Green on Saturday, June 17.
