Thousands enjoy beautiful weather and colorful costumes at Parade the Circle in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Thousands or people lined University Circle Saturday afternoon to cheer on the more than 700 people who took part in the annual Parade the Circle.
This year’s theme was “Visions of Harmony” and included such visions as colorful jelly fish and brightly colored robots. Colorful birds were another popular costume choice by the parade goers. Every entry in the parade was human-powered and a was supposed to be a physical presentation of art.. In addition to the parade, University Circle organizations had tents set up around Wade Oval just north of the Cleveland Art Museum. Guests were able to talk to representatives from the organizations as well as take home informational flyers.
“This is basically an annual event that kicks off the summer season,” said Kate Borders, president of University Circle Inc. “The parade has been happening for 32 years and is put on by the museum.”If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
