Thomas Campbell murder accused pictured in swingers club at time dad was 'tortured to death'
A murder accused told a jury 'I'm not leaving this stand until yous believe me' as they heard he was in a swingers bar at the time a dad was 'tortured to death' in his own home. After he was arrested on suspicion of murder, Stephen Cleworth told police to check CCTV footage from Decadence swingers club, in Rochdale, to prove he was not at Thomas Campbell's home at the time he was allegedly murdered.

On the 15th day of the trial, Mr Cleworth was questioned by his barrister Anesta Weekes KC.
"Yeah," he replied. Asked whether he had any idea of what happened to Mr Campbell that evening, he replied: "Nah, did I f***." He said the row came to the attention of a woman who worked at the club. "She has seen it and thrown him out," he added. Mr Cleworth said he learned of Mr Campbell's death the following day after receiving a phone call from a friend.
