Tuesday represents the 118th day without load shedding. According to the government, this is the longest period of no load shedding from September to December 2020 – saving over R6 billion in diesel used during the same period. The President adds that his office is prioritising the fight against GBVF as well as corruption. While the balance sheet of SOEs is being supported as well as significant expansion of investment in infrastructure.‘Committee to oversee Presidency’
The uMkhonto weSizwe party has questioned the absence of a committee overseeing the Presidency. The party calls for the reduction of the Cabinet size and scaling down on the perks of the Executive.
