Measuring 9-feet tall, the portico, or porch, is supported by two large “tree trunks.”

At the peak of his career, he created an extensive number of artful naturalistic conveniences — bridges, shelters, planters, drinking fountains and even trash containers — for public parks and private homes in Texas and Arkansas. He also worked in Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Chicago, Maryland and New Mexico.
Unmarried and presumably childless, Rodríguez returned to San Antonio on occasion, Light previously told the Express-News.
