However, the ANC and the DA have entered into a co-governing agreement, along with four other political parties. Speaking on the sidelines of the presidential inauguration in Pretoria, Gift of the Givers founder, Imtiaz Sooliman, said the ANC should not give up on its values.
"First of all, the ANC has 40%, so they are the majority, they need to exert themselves, otherwise you going as a majority and acting like a minority makes no sense to me. This is not a government of national unity, it’s a government of selective unity. Why have you left out your friends and comrades that have been in the trenches with you? Is somebody else making the decision for you?"
