The City of Chestermere is again challenging the findings of a province\u002Dordered investigation of their governance.
Mount Royal University political scientist Lori Williams said while there may be some grace given by a newly elected government and cabinet, she believes this is a “council that’s headed for dissolution” due to the increasingly severe nature of the city’s continued arguments against the inspection report and the government.Article content

Sandy Johal-Watt.During Wednesday’s meeting, Colvin had a heated exchange withafter the mayor claimed Lagore asked that council bring the document outlining council’s opposition to the findings back for further discussion on the second night in a hastily called special meeting.
Lagore said the document has “bounced around” city hall since April. He questioned the validity of the mayor’s claims that all councillors had input on the document and the assertion that it was being “fine-tuned” by council and was thus unavailable during that period.
