One Last Crusade actor was bizarrely qualified.
Harrison Ford isn’t the only actor in the Indiana Jones franchise to have played the same character five times. With his most recent outing as the hat and whip-sporting adventurer in Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny, Ford has officially retired the Indiana Jones character. However, it’s taken him 41 years to rack up 5 appearances as Indy, whereas one of his co-stars in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade succeeded in racking up a similar record in just 27 years.
Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade Was Sheard's Fourth Time Playing Hitler Michael Sheard’s casting as Hitler in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade originated with bad weather. Sheard recalls being cut from Raiders of The Lost Ark after inclement weather conditions and his own tight schedule meant that his scene couldn’t be filmed. Steven Spielberg told Sheard he would find him something else.
