And now, a new contender has joined in the fray. This Chinese internet celeb, who goes by his full name, Yu Junhan, has been gaining followers by the truckloads on Douyin, after fans started taking note of just how much he resembles Leslie.
That's Junhan in the middle of his Leslie transformation on the left, and post-transformation on the right.The Guangzhou native does two live streams daily, in which he has his make-up done by a special effects make-up artist to look like Leslie, and to serenade viewers with renditions of Leslie’s biggest hits.
While some netizen apparently feel that Junhan still needs to brush up on his singing, most appeared to be fans of his singing, commenting that he “really sounds like Leslie”.Others praised the make-up artist for making Junhan look just like Leslie. “This is probably the most convincing [Leslie] lookalike,” one netizen wrote, while another mused: “Though no one can truly replace Leslie, [Junhan] really does look like [the star].”
