He called his dad to tell him the good news, and his dad drove in to find out if it was real.
That's what happened for David Albrecht of Aldergrove. He bought a ticket at a gas station convenience store in Langley recently, trying his luck with a $30 Prestige Scratch and Win. The pricey scratch ticket turned out to be a worthwhile investment.“I thought, ‘This can’t be real,'" he recalls in the release. “Once I scanned it on my phone it felt more real and I got shaky.”“I called him and he thought I was joking and didn’t believe me," he says.
Albrecht plans on investing most of his winnings while using some of the new funds to "kick start" opportunities for himself.
