Lego has revealed yet another new video game set and this time it’s a recreation of Mario and Yoshi from Super Mario World.
You can even see Mario wearing his cape Just days after they announced a new line of Fortnite sets, including a surprisingly good value Battle Bus, Lego has revealed yet another new video game-related creation, this time aimed at older Nintendo fans. It’s Mario riding Yoshi, with a recreation of their sprites from 1990 SNES classic Super Mario World. Not only does it look exactly like the game, but it animates like it too, with a crank on the back so you can make Yoshi’s arms and legs move.
As ever, Lego isn’t cheap and the Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi set is priced at £114.99. It’s much bigger than you’d first assume though, at 40cm by 26cm, and is made up of 1,215 Lego pieces. Relatively speaking, that makes it pretty good value. It won’t be released until October 1, although pre-orders are available now on the Lego website. Oddly, Yoshi had orange arms back in the day The new set was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, alongside a model of Shadow The Hedgehog’s head.
