Third teen now charged in online threats made to Peel high schools

Peel police have charged a third teen in connection to online threats made to separate high schools in the Peel region.

On Thursday, officers went to Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School in Mississauga at around 8:45 a.m. to investigate an online threat. The Youth Criminal Investigations Bureau later identified and arrested a 16-year-old girl who now faces a charge of uttering threats.

On Friday, Peel police made a third arrest, charging a 15-year-old boy with uttering threats and mischief to property in connection with Lincoln Alexander. The names of the youth arrested and charged have been kept private in accordance to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
