The boards were stripped from the walls of eight classrooms at Greenville Primary School in the Bethelsdorp area.
Naidu, said school management had opened a case of housebreaking at the Bethelsdorp police station on Wednesday after the boards were discovered missing on Tuesday. Naidu said it was believed the thieves carried out their operation over the long weekend. NASGB Eastern Cape chairperson Monga Peter, said:"This is the same school that is known to have serious issues of dilapidated infrastructure and depleted resources. These need an urgent attention of the provincial department of education."He promised to visit the school to get a list of all its challenges and to engage with the education department so it could be addressed.
