Bellaire homeowners’ camera caught break in, police make quick arrest

Bellaire Police DepartmentA man was caught on camera breaking into an empty home in Bellaire. Within two minutes, the officers showed up and arrested him.

Gallagher said he got a notification on his phone that someone had entered the house, and he headed there immediately, not knowing whether the intruder was still in the house. “He put his hands up and tried to say he was sleeping," Gallagher said."And then they made him come down on the ladder, put him up against the wall, cuffed him and walked him out.”“He had a bag with tools, wire cutters, crow bar, flashlight, basically he came with his own burglary tools,” Kramer said.

“It’s a residential area,” said Bellaire Police Lt. Karen Kramer. “There’s no reason to be traveling in that area unless you’re a resident.”
