EFF leader Julius Malema has labelled the men who raped and robbed eight women in Krugersdorp on Thursday as not only rapists, but 'murderers'.
Malema was speaking at his party's anniversary rally at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Mangaung, Free State on Saturday. About the rise in rape cases reported between January and March this year, he said:"Let us condemn the rapists. The time is now, and there will never be another time to reclaim the streets of South Africa.
"We cannot have criminals with more rights than peaceful, law-abiding citizens of the country. Let us go and reclaim the streets. Let's make the streets safe and confront criminals. Let's ensure police stations that do not attend to gender-based violence cases are exposed."
