Mrs May insisted it was “doubly important” for the Conservatives to vote through the findings of the report in order to show that “we are prepared to act when one of our own, however senior, is found wanting”., who chose to skip the vote with Downing Street claiming that he had too many “commitments” in his diary to attend.
“When something is said that is wrong and misleads this house we are all under obligation not to repeat it and to correct the record. Moving the motion in the Commons, Ms Mordaunt said: “Our constituents may not appreciate why we are focused on contempt towards the House, as opposed to contempts they may feel have been made against them.
