The Last Ronin deserves a faithful adaptation.

The Last Ronin Game Needs To Be M-Rated Due to the nature of The Last Ronin's source material, the game needs to have a hard "M for Mature" rating to be a faithful adaptation. Otherwise, it's going to miss a lot of what made the original comic mini-series so acclaimed with its story and tone. The titular Last Ronin has lost everything and is hellbent on exacting his revenge against the Foot Clan while struggling to honor his fallen family.
As part of this, Rosen stated that Paramount won't be "[dialing The Last Ronin] back to make the game something it shouldn’t be” when adapting its more mature storylines, reiterating that the studio will focus on each project's needs individually, indicating that The Last Ronin game would be faithful to its source material. A new teaser trailer for The Last Ronin shown by THQ Nordic at its August 2023 Digital Showcase seemed to back this up with its dark, foreboding tone.
