Holmes is scheduled to be sentenced in October after a jury early this year found her guilty of defrauding investors in her blood-testing startup Theranos.
SAN FRANCISCO - Convicted Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes on Monday asked for a new trial, saying a star prosecution witness showed up at her home saying he felt he had "done something wrong."
But attorneys for Holmes said that former Theranos lab manager Adam Rosendorff, who was part of the prosecution's case, arrived unannounced at her California home in August looking disheveled and saying he needed to speak with her. Evans said he turned Rosendorff away from the home he shares with Holmes and their young son, telling Rosendorff that Holmes could not speak with him.DIFFERENT VERDICT?
