The founding members of Boom Shaka were Junior Sokhela, Theo Nhlengethwa, and Lebo Mathosa. Kwaito is characterized by its fusion of house, hip-hop, and traditional African sounds, creating a distinct and infectious rhythm that resonated with South African youth during the 1990s and beyond.
