The Weekend Guide: Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, the Tribhangi Dance Festival, and more.

The up-and-coming vocalist, who trained at the South African State Theatre’s MC Art, the Vusi Mahlasela Music Academy and is now studying jazz at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, will be performing alongside Sanele Phakathi on piano, Dalisu Dlazi on bass, Sbu Zondi on drums and Thabo Sikhakhane on trumpet.The performance takes place on March 30 at the Jazzy Rainbow, 93 Smiso Nkwanyana Road, Morningside, Durban. Tickets cost R50 and can be purchased at the door.

Arrangements of collected objects, often found in working- and middle-class homes, make up Stephané E Conradie’s sculptures, prints and paintings, and reflect the effect of a changing society on private spaces.The exhibition takes place until April 14 at GalleryMOMO, 16 Buiten Street, Cape Town.
