This Essex institution first opened a parlour in 1932 on Southend’s High Street and as demand grew for its traditional Italian recipe ice creams, the family opened another parlour and tearoom on the sea front at Westcliff-on-sea. All ice cream is made daily on the premises with flavours from classic chocolate to bubblegum and award-winning lemon sorbet.armed with the family’s secret ice cream recipe in 1928 with the premise “if it ain’t curdled, don’t fix it”.
Choose a cone with a nougat wafer, chocolate wafer or oyster shell and stroll the mile along the promenade to Blackpool Tower.This well-loved Cowes ice cream parlour serves locally produced Minghella ice cream and sorbets in over 200 flavours and even offers ice cream for dogs. The recipe was originally created by Edoardo Minghella and his wife Gloria in 1950. Order milkshakes, sundaes and ice cream topped Belgian waffles to eat in or take a cone to the marina.
