The U.S. public seems to like Trump's new paint scheme for Air Force One
Data journalist covering technological, societal and media topicsLast month, President Trump unveiled a radical redesign of Air Force One's livery, showing ABC News' George Stephanopoulous four printed mock-ups of a paint job that appeared to be dark blue, red and white. Many observers were quick to point out the new livery's similarity to the appearance of Trump's personal Boeing 757 jet and helicopters before he took office.
The redesign would mark a major change from the iconic blue, white and gold color scheme that has been used by presidential aircraft since the days of the Kennedy administration. Two Boeing 747-8 aircraft are currently being converted into VC-25B presidential transports in San Antonio, Texas, and are expected to be delivered in 2024.
