With a new Tacoma on the way for 2024, it's possible that sometime soon the 4Runner, which has long been mechanically linked to that midsize truck, will take a bigger leap forward, but the 2024 model year ain't the year, it seems.The TRD Sport trim returns, originally introduced for the 2022 model year. It uses the interesting passive cross-linked X-REAS suspension system originally introduced on the fourth-generation 4Runner, and reduces roll in corners.
The venerable 4.0-liter V-6 is still in service here, making 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque. The 4Runner can tow 5,000 pounds.The least-expensive 2024 Toyota 4Runner is the 4x2 SR5, and it rings in at $41,850—$300 more than last year. And that increase is consistent across the board.
