Let’s face it, the weather has been pretty rubbish so far this summer and you may find yourself longing for a sunny getaway in the coming months. But a holiday abroad doesn’t have to cost a fortune and there are lots of cheap destinations you can fly to from Manchester Airport .
Located on the so-called ‘Turkish Riviera’, the city boasts a beautiful coastline with crystal-clear water and green hillsides that could rival any coastal town in France or Italy. You can enjoy these views even more knowing that you won’t be splurging during your trip as a pint of draught beer costs around £2 while a three course meal out will set you back around £30 for two.
Flights are reasonably priced too. Skyscanner shows direct flights from Manchester to Bodrum in July from as little as £63 one way, with return tickets from a similar price. EasyJet shows flights from £72.99 one way with returns from £54.99. Or Jet2 has one-way flights from £65 in July, with returns from £67. It’s important to note that these prices may not include baggage or seat allocation.
When it comes to beaches, Bodrum has several on offer. There’s Bitez Beach, which is popular for water sports, especially windsurfing; Bodrum Beach which is handily located near the heart of the town and further along the coast is Aspat Beach, overlooked by towering palms; to name but a few.
