Fandoms for the two actors are up in arms on X over which one’s portrayal of Elvis Presley reigns supreme.Butler’s stint as the King of Rock and Roll came first, delectably delivered in Baz Luhrmann’s award-winning Elvis, an epic biopic released last year.
It’s a rivalry Elordi apparently has very little interest in.“I think it would be a killer double feature,” the Euphoria star told E! News in a recent interview. “I don’t know why people make art a blood sport. They turn it into the Coliseum. It’s fucking absurd.”Similarly, Butler had nothing but kind words for Elordi as the latter prepared to take up the King’s mantle. “I just wish him all the best,” Butler told Variety on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year.
