Although the Spider-Verse trilogy is set to conclude with Beyond the Spider-Verse and a final reckoning with The Spot, Miles will likely continue being Spider-Man when and if his biggest foe yet is defeated and the Spider-Verse is saved.
As seen in Across the Spider-Verse, canon events are moments most Spider-Man variants experience across the multiverse, connecting together on the Web of Life and Destiny. The biggest event referenced in Across the Spider-Verse is the death of a police captain. This is typically Gwen Stacy's father in most realities, but in Miles' case, the police captain in danger is his own father during The Spot's imminent attack on Miles' universe.
Again, the Spider-Verse trilogy has kept its focus on The Spot being transformed as Miles' ultimate big bad. However, the existence of Venom as a canon event means that it would be one Miles has yet to experience, and perhaps wouldn't until after the upcoming Beyond the Spider-Verse and the potential death of his father. Keeping that in mind, the idea that Miles could become corrupted by the Venom symbiote in the wake of losing his dad is both logical and extremely tragic.
Across The Spider-Verse's Venom Tease Hints That Canon Events Aren't Necessary Although bonding with Venom has been referenced as a canon event in Across the Spider-Verse, not every canon event may happen for every version of Spider-Man, just like not every canon event occurs in exactly the same way with specific details being different depending on the Webslinger and their particular reality.
