Could Adar from The Rings of Power be Sauron? 🤯
*Warning: spoilers for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power episodes three and four*The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of PowerArondir was left in a terrible predicament when his fellow elves’, who had been enslaved by the Orcs, escape plan went terribly wrong.
With Arondir the only suriving prisoner, his life was spared by the Orcs as they summoned their master Adar, a character not featured in JRR Tolkien’s books. Adar, whose name means ‘father’ in Elvish, then sends Arondir packing to the Southlands with a message for the people who live there: surrender the land or face certain death.What took Arondir, and audiences by surprise, is that Adar is most definitely not an Orc and, judging by his ears and his ability to speak Elvish, has Elf in his lineage.
Galadriel is also following the dark spirit’s map which marks out the Southlands, which Adar wants to capture, linking the two together.However, as Adar admits himself, he is not a God ‘yet’ and so lacks the power Sauron would yield.
