The Rings of Power season 1 set up several stories that need further exploration in season 2, as well as the addition of some key Second Age moments.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 is on the way, and there are a few things that we hope to see in this next installment. The Prime Video series used its first season to set up several storylines surrounding characters like Galadriel, Elrond, Prince Durin IV, Nori, and many more, leaving them all at the edge of a cliffhanger in the finale.

9 Flashbacks To Elrond's Family History The Rings of Power season 1 picks up hundreds of years after the end of Morgoth's war, which means audiences missed their chance to see Elros, Elrond's twin brother. As mentioned by Galadriel in the Prime Video series, Elros chose to be a mortal man and became the first king of Numenor . The fact that all this happened before the start of season 1 is a bit of a disappointment, but there is still hope that Elros will have a moment on screen.

7 The Start Of Sauron's Nazgul The Nazgul were a significant evil force throughout The Lord of the Rings, but even Tolkien left these characters shrouded in mystery. In canon, the nine Nazgul were the same nine kings of Men who received Sauron's Rings of Power, ultimately twisted into creatures of the Dark Lord's control. However, this happened so long ago that history forgot their true identities.

4 Answers About The Stranger & Other Istari The Stranger was a surprising addition to season 1 since it is heavily insinuated that he is The Rings of Power's version of the Istari Gandalf. Still, the Prime Video series has yet to come out and say this, so it's always possible that Nori the Harfoot's new friend is one of the other Istari sent to Middle-earth—the Blue Wizards, Radagast, or Saruman.
