.regrettesband announce new album and tour dates
, set for release on Aug. 9 via Warner Records. The 15-track album will feature lead single “I Dare You” which is out today along with an official video.
Throughout the record, 18-year-old frontwoman Lydia Night details the rise and fall of a relationship. “It’s about finding bravery through [love]… learning and accepting that, yes, you went through a shitty breakup, but that’s amazing—because all that means is next time you’re in a relationship, you know so much more about yourself and about what you want,” Night said of the album’s themes of romantic, platonic and self love.
To coincide with the forthcoming release, The Regrettes have confirmed North American summer and fall headlining tour. The How Do You Love tour will kick off on July 19 at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown, California. The nearly 40-date headlining tour will take the group through Houston, Baltimore, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Toronto, Detroit and Chicago.
The group, recently rounded out by guitarist Genessa Gariano, bassist Brooke Dickson and drummer Drew Thomsen, will close out the scheduled dates on Oct. 19 at the Glass House in Southern California.
