An incredible team talk from Rassie Erasmus clearly fired up the Springboks after the agonising World Cup defeat to Ireland.
The latest episode primarily focused on the Springboks’ blockbuster pool game against Ireland, which was ultimately lost by the narrowest of margins after an error-riddled display from South Africa, including several missed shots at goal.
However, after seeing the off-colour performance from his players, Erasmus admits he needed to bring the team back into line. It’s the sort of straight talking, no-holds barred honesty that may well have set the Springboks’ World Cup campaign back on track just when there was a threat of it being derailed.“Just because you or me, Rassie, were totally wrong, because nobody pulled me back in line. You’re not f**king clowns, you’re adults with children. A mom that worries about you, a dad that’s proud of you. A laaitie that looks up to you.
