Vancouver gardener divulges a Royal secret her family kept for 50 years

Hoy, a master composter, moved to Vancouver in 2017 to be closer to her daughter. On a recent visit to the City Farm Compost Demonstration Garden, where head gardener Mike Levenston raises mulberry trees and silkworms as part of an educational project for local schools, she was drawn to a book Levenston had on silkworms.

“May it please your Majesty,” she wrote in April 2022, “I would love to know if Your Majesty remembers this trousseau and enjoyed wearing it? I would greatly appreciate receiving confirmation of these events, if at all possible.”
