. Then again, he says a lot of things, many of which aren’t true, so I suppose it’s tough to tell.
The report added that McCarthy was asked whether he trusts Santos. “Look, he is going to have to build the trust here,” the speaker replied, “and he’s going to have the opportunity to try to do that.”that “a lot of people” in Congress have included fabrications on their résumé. What’s more, McCarthy’s line about the importance of voters’ voice has some superficial value, but it misses one of the key points of the controversy: Voters elected Santos because they were conned and lied to. That’s why so many Republicans have called for him to resign: The power should be in voters’ hands, and they’re the ones who were deceived.
