, The Pope’s Exorcist producer Jeff Katz announced that a sequel was officially moving forward. “Amorth Nation — I just got the call. IT’S OFFICIALLY HAPPENING!!! ‘È un seguito, amici miei.’ Thank you to the amazing #ThePopesExorcist fans. You made this happen. Gas up your Lambretta – and get ready to ride,” Katz wrote.is expected to reprise his role as Father Gabriele Amorth in the sequel, though there’s been little news about the project since then up until now.
Directed by Julius Avery with a screenplay written by Michael Petroni and Evan Spiliotopoulos, The Pope’s Exorcist also starred Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe, Franco Nero, Peter DeSouza-Feighoney, Laurel Marsden, and Cornell John. The horror movie was released in United States theaters in April 2023.
