The system uses the Dirac Opteo Professional sound optimization solution that ensures the sound experience is consistently excellent across every seat of the vehicle.
Dirac describes the interior of a car as one of the most challenging acoustic environments in the world, noting that speakers can easily interfere with each other resulting in distortion and reduced audio clarity. The company’s solution involves patented multiple-input/multiple-output mixed-phase impulse response correction technology that enables “all the speakers in a car to work intelligently together and co-correct each other’s impulse response.
This system is said to create richer, more balanced, and more dynamic sounds across every seat and doesn’t have any of the muddy or booming sounds that cars often have. “Dirac is leading the world in automobile audio optimization, pioneering technologies that push the boundaries of automotive sound,” Dirac general manager of Automotive Audio Lars Carlsson said. “As modern vehicles become increasingly complex, automakers like Polestar continue to rely on Dirac to help achieve their signature sound. Our Dirac Opteo Professional solution digitally optimizes speaker performance and ensures the perfect listening experience in any vehicle.
